When music rings out once more from the floating Ems stage, it means the EmsFestival is in full swing in Rheine. Every year, thousands of visitors make sure not to miss this very special musical spectacle.
The EmsFestival kicks off on Thursday with a performance by the band ‘Double Neck’. They’ll be thrilling the audience with songs from the last 30 years of rock and pop history. Following the festival’s official opening, ‘Saturday Funk Fever’ will keep the party going.
On Friday evening, the party cover band “Granufunk” and the Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute band “Psycho Sexy”, amongst others, will be rocking the floating stage.
On Saturday, the varied programme kicks off at middayfor children and families. The little ones can look forward to children’s dance, gymnastics, ballet and face painting, as well as much more. From 6 pm, the RADIO RST Party presents an exciting programme featuring Limited Edition and DJ Dennis.
To round off the festival on Sunday, an ecumenical service will take place at 10 am, followed by a musical morning get-together. At 3 pm, the final event of the EmsFestival will begin: the Schlager afternoon.
Alongside the musical performances, numerous stalls will be on hand to cater for visitors’ culinary needs. And best of all: this year’s programme is once again themed ‘Free & Outdoors’. An exceptional opportunity for all music fans who enjoy celebrating in the open air and want to experience the unique atmosphere on the banks of the Ems.
