The Ems Festival
Every summer, the floating stage on the banks of the Ems becomes the centre of Rheine for four days. Here, the audience can expect a varied programme of exclusive live shows. Music from different decades and styles will be played. The floating stage on the Ems is something very special and unique in Europe. Nowhere else is there a show stage on a flowing body of water. This magical atmosphere under the open sky directly on the Ems gives the festival an unforgettable charm in addition to the good music. From 27 to 30 July 2023, the EmsFestival will take place for the 21st time!
Rock, Pop, Schlager or Charts
When the music resounds again from the floating Ems stage, it is EmsFestival in Rheine. Thousands of visitors every year do not miss this musical spectacle of a special kind. Thursday starts with an official opening of the event followed by an after-work party. Friday is then all about the 70s and 80s, but current music is also a must at the party on the banks of the Ems. On Saturday, a great family programme awaits you with theatre performances and musical acts. Afterwards, artists from Rheine will get the chance to present their music, voices and talents. The musical Frühshoppen on Sunday begins with a rousing performance by a gospel choir.
And best of all: this spectacular programme is also under the motto "Umsonst & Draußen" again this year. An exceptional opportunity for all music fans who like to celebrate under the open sky and experience the unique atmosphere on the banks of the Ems.
