The Haus Siekmann is the cultural centre of Sendenhorst. Here you can expect concerts, cabaret, lectures and more. Famous personalities are often in the spotlight on stage. In autumn, the Martini goose market in particular attracts visitors to Sendenhorst's town centre. But other festivals and markets also create an atmosphere in the small town.

An educational adventure for primary school children:
Would you like to learn about and experience our local nature? Then sign up and visit the squirrel at Hof Schmetkamp in Sendenhorst. On the third Sunday of every month, DLV nature educator Jan Engel from the District Hunters’ Association, together with the squirrel, invites children of primary school age and above to Schmetkamp Farm. Together, we’ll explore the natural world around the farm and get to know the animals of the forest. Experience exciting adventures in the woods and discover interesting plants and animals, both large and small, in the wild.
Please bring your own food and drink for our break. And please remember to wear sturdy shoes and clothes that can get dirty.

At the end of the day, we cycle at a relaxed pace on quiet side roads and hidden "Pättkes" at a speed of 15 - 18 km/h. The route around Sendenhorst is around 30 - 33 km and we are on the road for around 2:15 - 2:30 hours with breaks.
Anyone interested is welcome to join us on our tours - ADFC membership is not a prerequisite.
From Sendenhorst, we cycle through Albersloh, the Hohe Ward and Düesbergpark to the Aasee in Münster. From there, we head to the Old Zoo for a picnic (bring your own food). From here, it’s not far to Domplatz, where our guided tour of the city begins. (Admission fees are payable on the spot). On the way back, we cycle along Münster’s cycle routes to the lock, through the Boniburger Wald and along the Werse Cycle Path to Wolbeck. A coffee and cake spread will be waiting for us at the Kisfeld bakery. Well fortified, we’ll cycle through the Tiergarten, past Alverskirchen, to Sendenhorst.
