Christmas markets in Gronau

Gronau, the city of music, invites you into the magical world of Christmas – where festive sounds, twinkling lights and the scent of mulled wine and freshly baked biscuits fill the streets.

There are three different Christmas markets to choose from across three Advent weekends: in the Epe district, in Gronau town centre and at the Dreiländersee.

Whether you’re with family, friends or colleagues – here you can experience the special magic of the Advent season. Amidst festively decorated stalls, lovingly designed stands and musical highlights, an atmospheric ambience is created that warms the heart and soul.

Three weekends, three markets

In Epe, there will be several ways to get into the Christmas spirit in 2026. From 4 to 6 December, the Christmas market will take place in the town centre. On Sunday (6 December), you can stroll through a pop-up Christmas market on Merschstraße as part of the Sunday shopping event.

From 10 to 13 December, the whole of Gronau town centre will be alight with colourful lights, with curling taking place right by St Antonius Church, alongside decorated stalls and shops.

On the last weekend of Advent, from 18 to 20 December, the Seeblick restaurant has something very special in store: a Christmas market on its lakeside terrace by the Dreiländersee. With mulled wine and punch, you can raise a glass with your loved ones by the crackling fire, whilst enjoying savoury and sweet treats from the huts or BBQ from the Grillring.
