Three days full of inspiration, enjoyment and winter magic

As the days grow shorter and the evenings become cosier, Winterträume opens its doors at Hülshoff Castle: from 6 to 8 November 2026, this historic moated castle in the Münsterland region will provide the backdrop for a winter experience brimming with inspiration, enjoyment and a festive atmosphere. Around 120 carefully selected exhibitors, a varied programme of events and sparkling light installations make ‘Winter Dreams’ a highlight in the region’s events calendar.

The "Ahaus lights up weekend" with a market of lights - under this motto, the idyllic town is transformed into a sea of lights. The sparkling magic of the pre-Christmas period invites you to stroll and marvel. The three-day market of lights in the city centre is the perfect destination for this! In the midst of festive splendour and a cosy atmosphere, exhibitors have the opportunity to present their products in charming huts.

To coincide with the Potato Festival on Sunday 8 November, LH Candle Manufactory is opening its major Christmas candle exhibition. Visitors can look forward to a wide selection of hand-decorated Christmas, Advent and gift candles. Many designs can be personalised on the spot with a name, date or a short personal message.

During the Dülmen Winter from 13 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, idyllic Dülmen will be transformed into an atmospheric setting with colourful wooden huts, bright lights, festive sounds and aromatic scents. The centrepiece of the colourful hustle and bustle is the 450 m² covered real ice rink on the market square. The slippery fun is open daily for ice skaters. The famous two-storey toboggan hut with a direct view of the ice rink will once again offer refreshments for young and old. Visitors can also look forward to numerous tournaments on the ice.

Come and enjoy the Saerbeck Advent Market, where you’ll find plenty of treasures and unique little gifts around St George’s Parish Church and Saerbeck village square.

A lantern procession for the nursery children, accompanied by the Kolping brass band, is planned for the opening.

On 21 and 22 November 2026, the inner courtyard in Borken will become a festively illuminated meeting place for all Christmas market fans. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., you can expect a unique experience that will enchant you with a diverse range of products and a magical atmosphere, enjoy the musical sounds that will accompany you throughout the day and be mesmerised by the illuminated stalls. The aroma of freshly baked waffles and spicy mulled wine fills the air and creates the perfect winter flair.

November Dreams - The special Christmas market in Borken

21-22 November 2026 10 am - 5 pm

Save the date and let's experience the anticipation of Christmas together!

The Christmas market in Beckum-Roland takes place around the community centre. The village of huts is home to numerous stallholders offering arts and crafts and homemade goods. Refreshments are also available. On stage, various dance groups will be showing off their skills. In the early evening, Father Christmas will be making an appearance.

Münster's most beautiful time - when the Prinzipalmarkt shines golden, the arcades are decorated with Advent wreaths and the scent of fir trees wafts through the streets, Advent begins. Six individual Christmas markets, around 250 stalls in total: the Christmas markets around the historic town hall, Aegidiimarkt, Am Kiepenkerl and Harsewinkelplatz take place from 23 November to 23 December. At Überwasserkirchplatz and Lambertikirchplatz, they will end 1 day earlier, on 22 December 2026.

The markets are open Sundays to Thursdays from 11 am to 8 pm, Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am to 9 pm.

On the first weekend of Advent (26 November to 39 November 2026) and on the following Thursdays (3 December, 10 December, 17 December 2026) before the Advent Sundays, we’ll be spreading some pre-Christmas cheer in Ostbevern. As well as mulled wine, hot chocolate, gingerbread biscuits, waffles and more, there’ll also be a chance to browse for Christmas presents on the church square.
