The Rock'n'pop Museum

Experience the history of rock and pop. The unique museum in Gronau offers an unforgettable insight into the last 100 years of pop music. The permanent exhibition shows special relics of the scene and thematises the different dimensions of music. The multimedia and interactive design elements make the walk through the museum a very special experience and give visitors goosebumps . Components of the exhibition are sounds, pictures, exhibits and elaborately staged showcases.

Special highlights are the Can-Studio and the Greenbox. The Can-Studio is one of the most legendary German recording studios. Eight studio albums by the German avant-garde band "Can" were produced here in the 1970s. Later, albums for Marius Müller-Westernhagen, among others, were produced in the studio. In the Greenbox, everyone can slip into the role of the music stars themselves and record their own music video. A wide variety of songs and numerous costumes are available for the unique performance. This extraordinary exhibition makes a visit to the museum a unique cultural experience in Münsterland for every member of the family.

A very special experience is the guided tour "Pop up Platt", where Tönne Speckmann guides you through the museum in an unforgettable way. The city festival has already shown that the space on the former state horticultural show grounds really comes into its own. During the summer months, this atmosphere is also to be created at the "LAGAkoller" evening market on three Thursdays from 5 to 9 p.m., while observing safety and hygiene measures. The first LAGAkoller will take place on 10 June this year. Further dates are 8 July and 12 August. The organisers Stadtmarketing and Duesmann Food and Catering, together with Sparkasse Westmünsterland, are looking forward to the new format. Not only can fruit, vegetables, flowers, bread and chicken schnitzel be bought at the evening market, but visitors also have the opportunity to buy fresh food and drinks and eat them at designated seating areas on the Inselpark grounds. As a highlight, picnics can also be enjoyed on the Inselpark grounds. You can either bring your own blankets or borrow them.

Picnic

Together with Duesmann Food and Catering and in cooperation with the cultural office and the rock'n'popmuseum, the city marketing department is planning a continuation of the evening market on the former Landesgartenschau grounds.

Last year already showed that the space on the former Landesgartenschau grounds is great for the "LAGAkoller". During the summer months, this atmosphere will once again be in evidence at the "LAGAkoller" evening market on three Thursdays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., subject to protective and hygienic measures. The first LAGAkoller will take place on 12 June. Further dates are 08 July and 12 August. The organisers Stadtmarketing and Duesmann Food und Catering, together with Sparkasse Westmünsterland, are looking forward to a continuation. "The evening market was very well received by the visitors and we would like to build on this success," says Elke Rinke from Stadtmarketing. "Last year, the adherence to protective and hygienic measures already worked well, and every single visitor contributed to this," said Maike Knichwitz from the city's marketing department.

Not only can fruit, vegetables, flowers, bread and chicken cutlets be bought at the evening market, but visitors also have the opportunity to buy fresh food and drinks and eat them at designated seating areas on the Inselpark grounds.

As a highlight, picnics can also be held in a special form on the Inselpark grounds. Special places will be designated which can be booked in advance of the event as pick'n'VIP places. A special drinks offer rounds off the range of "VIP places".
