Westphalian Park Maintenance Seminars at Palaces & Castles

Together with the castles of the Münsterland region, the Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe(LWL, Department of Heritage Conservation, Landscape and Architectural Culture in Westphalia) has launched an exciting series of events that offers you exactly that: the‘Westphalian Park Maintenance Seminars’. Seize this opportunity and help shape the cultural region with your green fingers!
What is a park maintenance seminar?
Under professional guidance and with a great deal of community involvement, the historic gardens of the region – which adorn our numerous castles and palaces – are being restored to their former glory! The seminars vary in duration: on offer are
- multi-day workshops ( Major Park Maintenance Seminar), designed to restore the garden monument to its original historical condition for the first time
- as well asone-day follow-up workshops (Small Park Maintenance Seminar), which are designed to refresh the work carried out during the Large Park Maintenance Seminar.
Preserving historic parks together
The maintenance and restoration work in these listed gardens and parks also relies on your help. After all, the park maintenance seminars can only be carried out if we work together. In return, you’ll receive great maintenance tips for your own garden, a unique glimpse behind the scenes of these cultural heritage sites, generous refreshments throughout the day, and the satisfaction of having helped shape the region through your voluntary participation!
