Picnic area Vier-jahreszeiten-park Oelde
Why is it especially worthwhile to visit the Four Seasons Park in Oelde as a destination for a picnic in spring? 60,000 flower bulbs and 27,000 planted horned violets blossom from April onwards and show themselves in the most colourful colours. It goes without saying that there are places to sit and relax everywhere. Green lawns and meadows as well as a permanent picnic area with tables and benches are ideal for your picnic. A unique arrangement of children's museum, playgrounds, concert stage, park baths and restaurants opens up in the midst of the blossoming park landscape. There are also four permanent picnic huts that can be rented for 15 euros a day. These huts are particularly suitable for day stays in the park, as they can be locked and thus serve as a base station for all kinds of activities in the park.(Rental currently not permitted as of May 2021 - Current developments will be communicatedonlinein goodtime ).

- Animals are not allowed in the park, for which a fee is charged. You can borrow handcartts at the main entrance "Mühlensee".

Tip: There are a total of four picnic huts named after the seasons. These can be rented for €15/day.
You can get the key for each hut by leaving a deposit (ID or similar) at the ticket office at the main entrance. The huts can be reserved by phone (02522-72820), online or on site.

By train
You can reach Oelde by train via lines RB 69 and RE 6 (between Hamm and Bielefeld). The walk to the Vier-Jahreszeiten-Park leads through Oelde town centre and takes about 15 minutes. The route is signposted from the station.

- Bike rental (There is a bike station at the Oelde train station. Rental bikes can be handed out to cycle tourists by arrangement, also outside opening hours and at weekends).
