Why is spring a particularly good time to visit the Four Seasons Park at in Oelde for a picnic? 60,000 flower bulbs and 27,000 horned violets come into bloom from April onwards, displaying the most vibrant colours. It goes without saying that there are seating areas everywhere, inviting you to linger.
Green lawns and meadows, as well as a designated picnic area with tables and benches, are ideal for your picnic. Set amidst the blossoming park landscape, you’ll find a unique mix of a children’s museum, playgrounds, a concert stage, an open-air swimming pool and catering facilities.
There are also four permanent picnic huts available, which can be hired for 20 euros a day. These huts are particularly suitable for a day out in the park, as they can be locked and thus serve as a base for all sorts of activities in the park. Further information is available here.
