Oelde in southern Münsterland is certainly one of the best-known places in Münsterland. At the latest since the most successful North Rhine-Westphalian state horticultural show in 2001, Oelde has become a household name in leisure planning in Münsterland.
The Four Seasons Park is still a magnet for families today and attracts countless visitors every year with its numerous events. Children especially love the Klipp Klapp children's museum. In various themed rooms, they marvel, try things out and discover. No wonder Oelde's motto is "Blossom magic & children's dreams". A discovery tour of a special kind is offered by Pott's Brewery. The beer museum, brewery tours and the Cesaris Fountain Cinema invite visitors to learn more about the brewery and the beer typical of the region.
Cycle paths lead through the southern Münsterland region to the Lippe, Werse and Ems rivers. The mostly flat cycle paths are also well suited to inexperienced cyclists and enable cycle tours as far as Warendorf, the spa town of Bad Waldliesborn or as far as the magnificent Hovestadt Castle in Lippe Valley. A special route through Oelde is the LandesGartenSchau route, which connects various state garden exhibitions in Münsterland and East Westphalia.
