River Landscape on the Hessel | Tour Tips
River Landscape Hessel-Milte
Between Warendorf and Telgte, this 19.5-kilometre-long tour "River Landscape at the Hessel" leads along picturesque and lonely grass and sand paths. The approximately three-kilometre-long stage directly along the little river Hessel promises special recreation - it is a highlight for people and animals.
But the varied landscape through the farming community of Velsen is also particularly attractive. It is characterised by frequent changes between fields, forests and meadows. Stop for a moment and let the magnificent view take its effect on you. And if you want to go faster: The beautiful forest paths in particular invite you to walk fast.
Relaxation in the middle of greenery
The western section of the route offers special tranquillity for two-legged and four-legged visitors due to a separate route to the adjacent farm track. Unfortunately, there are no nearby places to stop for refreshments on this scenically very varied day tour - the paths are too lonely. Riders should therefore take a packed lunch with them and take a well-deserved picnic break along the way. A meal in nature is ideal for a break, after all!
It is possible to start at several points on this loop. There is no fixed starting point.
