Riding route Lienen

On the edge of the highlands of the Tecklenburger Land, the Lienen riding route invites you to enjoy wonderful rides. The 34 km long riding route leads as a circular route from Lienen to Kettenvenne and back to picturesque Lienen.

The picturesque landscape is the great trump card of the riding route. Passing meadows and fields, the typical rampart hedges of the Münsterland can be admired again and again. The starting point is the public riding arena at Hotel Waldschlößchen. Shortly after you and your horse leave the last houses of the village behind you, the landscape opens up. The quiet surroundings up to the small village of Kattenvenne are ideal for trail riders. The perfect place for a break is the "Bog Oak Stable" rest area halfway along the route. The bridle path curves back to the starting point in Lienen.

Discover more from Lienen

Several riding stables along the Lienen riding route offer overnight accommodation for riders and their horses. After your ride, don't miss a stroll through the small old town of Lienen. A riding holiday can be excellently combined with a hike on the Teuto loop "Holperdorper".

You will quickly realise that you are in one of the most popular horse regions in Germany when you look at the countless paddocks and the large number of riding stables around Lienen. The riding route is connected to the Warendorf riding route via a connecting path. This offers trail riders an almost endless network of routes through the eastern Münsterland.
