Generative artificial intelligence is increasingly part of everyday cultural work and at the same time raises new technical, creative and legal questions. This event offers a well-founded orientation on the current state of generative AI and its application in art and culture.
The event focuses on text, image and video-generating AI systems and their possible applications in different work contexts. Common tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Firefly, Runway, Microsoft Copilot and Gemini will be presented and categorised. Specific application examples will be used to show how generative AI can be integrated into work processes in a meaningful and considered way.
In addition, the course will teach methodological principles for practical use, including effective prompting, the development of precise problem descriptions and "new writing" approaches. The legal framework, data protection and the labelling requirements of the EU AI Act from August 2026 will be explained in an understandable and practical way. The aim is to provide guidance and enable the confident, responsible use of generative AI.
