Planning sustainable events (in culture and tourism)

Event planning is increasingly taking into account aspects of environmental, social and economic sustainability, both in the cultural sector and in tourism. This event provides practical guidance on how you can organise your events in a more environmentally conscious and socially responsible manner, for example by using reusable systems or working with local suppliers. The content is based on the many years of project management experience of Kai Pagenkopf, a landscape ecologist with a PhD.
The focus is on key environmental aspects such as the choice of venue, transport and accessibility, energy supply, waste prevention, and food and catering. In addition, social and economic aspects such as accessibility, inclusion and the conscious use of materials and resources are covered.
Practical examples are used to demonstrate how individual measures can be implemented step by step. Existing guidelines and checklists are presented as a guide and support implementation in participants’ own work.
A joint event organised by the Kulturakademie Münsterland and the Tourismusakademie Münsterland.
