Sustainability guidelines Münsterland e.V.
Münsterland e.V. has developed binding sustainability guidelines in order to systematically anchor responsible behaviour in all areas of activity and impact. The guidelines create transparency, orientation and reliability for partners and stakeholders:
Preamble
As Münsterland e.V., we act in a collaborative, considered, nature-loving and resource-conserving manner in accordance with our brand strategy in the three sustainability dimensions of ecology, economy and social affairs. We contribute to continuing to make THE GOOD LIFE possible for everyone. In doing so, we support activities that offer the inhabitants of the Münsterland region a high quality of life.
We therefore send a clear signal in our region in favour of sustainable action and position ourselves clearly in favour of the importance of environmental and climate protection, social justice and a sustainable economy - for the preservation of the valuable cultural and natural heritage in Münsterland, today and for future generations.
We work closely with our members and partners as drivers in various sustainability-related projects and initiatives and implement joint climate targets.
Climate-friendly use of resources
We focus on the efficient use of resources. We are pursuing these goals:
- Reducing material and energy consumption as well as emissions through digitalisation, usage behaviour and technical solutions.
- Avoiding, separating and disposing of waste appropriately.
- A continuous reduction of the CO2 footprint in the organisation and implementation of events.
We are in close dialogue with our landlord to identify further potential for resource conservation and implement improvements.
Procurement
When procuring products and services, we favour those from the region. Where possible, we pay attention to environmental friendliness, resource conservation, longevity, social justice, seasonality and an increasing proportion of certified organic and plant-based foods.
Internal and external communication
- We practise gender equality and solidarity, in which opportunities, possibilities and obligations are equally distributed. We promote the satisfaction, development opportunities and well-being of our employees in the fulfilment of our tasks. Everyone has the opportunity to play an active role in our sustainability endeavours.
- We create transparency and inform the public about our implemented and planned measures.
- We network regional players in the fields of business, tourism, culture and science in order to make the region fit for the future.
Continuous improvement
- We review our environmental goals and our actions to identify any need for optimisation.
- Feedback from members and the public helps us to do this.
