Green Week 16 - 25 January 2026

The Münsterland as a partner region in the NRW Hall

100 years of Green Week - North Rhine-Westphalia will once again be showing its best side in Berlin for the anniversary in January 2026. North Rhine-Westphalia's presence at the trade fair will be realised under the leadership of the State Office for Agriculture and Food (LAVE) on behalf of the Ministry. Once again, the state will be supported by a partner region at the upcoming leading international trade fair for food, agriculture and horticulture: This time the choice has fallen on the Münsterland.

The Green Week is a great opportunity to showcase the innovative strength of the Münsterland and its high-quality regional products, many of which have been awarded the Münsterland seal or are partners of the Münsterland eco-model region. Together with various partners from the districts of Borken, Coesfeld, Steinfurt, Warendorf and the city of Münster, DAS GUTE LEBEN and thus the Münsterland region will be presented at the Green Week.

The main topics at the Münsterland stand are

  • The Münsterland horse region
  • Münsterland as a land of innovation
  • Agriculture: Münsterland seal/ Münsterland eco-model region
  • LEADER regions and the village competition "Our village has a future"

SuSyPhos project

Phosphate is playing an increasingly important role as a raw material for electrode production, both in the field of electromobility and in stationary battery storage systems. Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells have established themselves thanks to their long service life and uncritical raw materials. In order to meet the increasing demand for iron phosphate for battery production and reduce existing dependencies on raw material imports, the SuSyPhos project from Steinfurt is investigating phosphate recovery from residual and waste materials from agriculture.
