Legendary programme: Münsterland summer night cinema at Bentlage Monastery in Rheine
Whether at the DJ picnic in Greven, at the Stapelskotten outdoor pool, at castles and fortresses or at animal encounters: When the Münsterland Picnic Days from 13 to 15 June celebrate the region's attitude to life, every culinary break becomes a special experience. Under the motto "Me. You. We. The Münsterland celebrates picnics!", Münsterland e.V. as the initiator, together with local players, invites you to picnic for a whole weekend. More than 35 events are on the programme.
It starts on Friday, 13 June, with the DJ picnic at Greven Beach. Between the sandy beach and palm trees, it's time to spread out your blanket, open your picnic basket and enjoy some summery beats. DJ Denis will provide the right atmosphere on the Radio RST Party Truck. There will be a colourful programme for the whole family at the Stapelskotten outdoor pool in Münster on Saturday, 14 June. The event is organised by Münsterland e.V. in cooperation with RESET e.V. and the Münster Sports Office.
There will also be picnics with animals. For example, Haus Hülshoff in Tecklenburg is offering a goat walk with picnic, Hof Kätker in Lienen an ostrich picnic and Reiterhof Hunsche in Lienen a pony walk with picnic.
On Sunday, 15 June, the Castles and Palaces Day offers exclusive insights into historical buildings that characterise the Münsterland region - combined with picnic events, for example at Senden Castle, Harkotten Manor in Sassenberg and Vornholz Castle in Ennigerloh.
