At the hotel you have booked, you will be welcomed with a Münsterländer Korn or the original Burgtrunk. Afterwards, we recommend a coffee break in our local restaurant, with a table already reserved for you on request.

Whether you decide to visit the impressive Menke tower windmill or the "Hidden Garden" is entirely up to you, we will be happy to advise you. Depending on your arrival time, visits are also possible in the morning.

The day ends with a welcome menu with regional delicacies at the hotel you have booked. Depending on your choice of hotel, you can use the hotel's bowling alleys or visit the sports campus, which includes a boules court.

After a sumptuous breakfast buffet, a leisurely stroll through the lake fish and produce market (Wednesdays and Saturdays) in the charming border town of Winterswijk is on the programme. Find out how people and animals lived in the same room, why the groom carries his bride over the threshold and how a horse oil mill works at the privately run open-air museum "Erve Kots". The "Loss Hus", the former manor house and countless interesting everyday objects fascinate young and old alike.

A table has already been reserved for you at the nationally renowned pancake restaurant. Whether savoury, hearty or sweet - you decide for yourself. If you book in advance, you can be served pancakes of your choice, "Pilleweggen" and a cup of coffee or, for groups of 20 or more, a sumptuous hot and cold pancake buffet (surcharge of € 10.50 per person).
A visit to the cheese dairy opposite is not just a treat for the palate. Delicious samples ranging from nettle to sage cheese, as well as many curiosities in the lovingly designed rooms make this tour (optional for groups of 15 or more) an experience. Even without a guided tour, the cheese dairy has a lot to offer.

The eventful day ends with a cosy dinner at the hotel (included in the half board). On request, you can attend a dance event at the weekend (extra charge).

There is something for everyone on the sports campus in Südlohn: from "Jeux de Boule" to cycling on the pump track, giant chess, mini soccer or beach volleyball! The multi-generational exercise trail with Kneipp pool at the indoor riding centre between the districts is also worth a visit.

Alternatively, there is a circular walk on the Kommiesenpatt. The Kommiesenpatt follows the former customs and smugglers' paths and you walk along the German-Dutch border, sometimes on one side of the border and sometimes on the other without realising it.
