Warendorf and the idyllic Münsterland region

This cycle tour is particularly well suited to the Münsterland region. Picturesque town centres, wide landscapes and countless horses in the pastures. The market square (starting point) in Warendorf is a dream. Tip: In the morning, visit the stables and outdoor facilities of the NRW State Stud - a great experience not only for horse lovers.

Shortly after crossing the Ems, it becomes quiet and rural. In Sassenberg-Füchtorf, cyclists can expect a special treat in early summer. The small town is known for its numerous asparagus farms, which serve asparagus fresh from the field. Particularly worth seeing is the double castle of Harkotten, which lies a few minutes' drive north of the centre of the village. The castle with its gastronomic offerings is also the ideal place for a rest. The cycle tour leads back to Warendorf via the Vinnenberg monastery and the small but very beautiful village of Milte.

Take some more time in Warendorf and go on a discovery tour through the "horse capital". Nice shops and cafés await you in the beautiful alleys of the old town.
