Founded as a family business
The family business was founded 18 years ago and the Weidenhof team has around 25 employees, some full-time, many part-time, but all of them are committed. Whether in the office, in customer service, in the farm shop or with both hands in the field: the 'organic' bond holds everyone together.
The main feature of the farm is its threefold nature: firstly, the farm grows its own produce, which is also sold in the farm shop. At the Weidenhof, this is exclusively vegetables, from potatoes and lettuce to pumpkins, courgettes and broad beans. Other products are supplied by friendly organic farms in the neighbourhood.

There are also the weekly markets and the "Grüne Kiste", the vegetable subscription from Weidenhof. And it's going pretty well: "Organic freshness delivered to your doorstep in a relaxed and flexible way" is the motto of the in-house delivery service. This is based not least on the idea of sustainability: it is better to have one car make many stops than many cars make one stop. And the delivery area is large. From Osnabrück and Ibbenbüren to Münster, Dortmund and Bochum. The catchment area has developed over time and many regular customers have been loyal to "their farm" for years.
Weidenhof's customers are fully convinced of the sustainability of the organic products: whether they are large families or single pensioners, the majority of them come to do their weekly shopping - many of them even cycle, as befits "real Münsterlanders".
