Ladies and gentlemen of the castle and all picnickers take note! Museum. Art. Culture. Today, Vischering Castle in Lüdinghausen is one of the best-known excursion destinations in the Münsterland region. The museum, which is well worth a visit, provides an insight into the way of life in times gone by and sheds light on the significance of the castles and fortresses in Münsterland. A tour along the moat opens up new perspectives on the castle through special features. For example, there is a viewing platform directly on the Gräfte - here you can enjoy a unique view of the castle. Surrounded by deciduous trees, the castle lies in a green oasis and is therefore the perfect place for your spring picnic! At the moment you can picnic on the spacious lawn or on the benches directly at the castle - from June you can also use the popular table-bench combinations again. (These are currently not in place due to renovation work). So if you want to get a taste of medieval air while picnicking, you shouldn't miss a visit to Vischering Castle.
