Donkey hike with picnic in Lengerich

Donkeys are stubborn? Not at all. On a donkey hike through the Tecklenburger Land, you can see for yourself that the opposite is true and experience pure relaxation for a few hours. On the Hof der Familie Weiligmann in Lengerich, you can embark on various hiking tours with a herd of donkeys, get to know the characteristics of these gentle and patient companions and have a picnic with them in the idyllic countryside.

While you and your donkey leisurely roam through the countryside, you can really switch off and leave all your burdens behind - literally, because the donkeys will take care of transporting your picnic. After the effort of the hike, you will be rewarded with the peace and tranquillity of nature or with a fantastic view of the Tecklenburger Land landscape and the Teutoschleifen, such as the Teutoschleifen.e.g. the Canyon Blick.

Tip: If you want to explore Tecklenburger Land even further after your animal experience, it's worth visiting the medieval Tecklenburg.

Surprise picnics await you on the various hikes, which are lovingly put together
The contents and size of the picnic basket vary depending on the hike
The Hiking PUR tour, for example, includes a picnic with biscuits, vegetables, crackers and drinks.
In addition to a picnic, the half-day tour also includes a final meal together, e.g. with coffee, cake or even a tasty pizza.
On the Canyon Tour you will be fully catered for. There is a large picnic here with lots of delicious regional products.
The donkeys will help transport your picnic.

Donkey hikes with picnic

Different tours of different lengths and prices are offered:

PURE hiking: approx. 3 - 4 hours | 7 - 8 km incl. picnic | up to 4 people €240, each additional person €60
Half-day tour: approx. 4 - 5 hours | 7 - 8 km incl. picnic and coffee & cake afterwards | up to 4 people €300, each additional person €75
Canyon tour: 9 - approx. 17/18.30 hrs | approx. 18 km incl. picnic, full catering, tour guide and canyon view | minimum number of participants 8 persons | from 10 persons personal desired date possible | per person 125 € | date by arrangement and participation in open hikes possible

Children up to max. 35 kg may also ride on the donkeys
Each hike includes an expert tour guide and plenty of donkey knowledge
Sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are required
In the event of storms, hail and heavy rain, the tours must be cancelled. There will then be an alternative date.
Compatible dogs may join the tour, but must be kept on a lead
