Cycling tours in the park landscape of the Warendorf district

The park landscape of the Warendorf district is always worth a trip by bike. Discover 14 exciting tour tips in the eastern Münsterland in the district's new brochure. They run along a network of junctions totalling 633 kilometres.

In the north, idyllic villages, stately farms, romantic moated castles and historic towns with inviting market squares await you.

In the south, proud town houses and manor houses, a hilltop castle and rustic traditional breweries beckon. The villas of the cement barons bear witness to the industrial wealth of days gone by, and the listed colliery colony is now a favoured residential area. From the rolling hills of the Beckum mountains, the view extends to the horizon and beyond.

And the people who live here know a thing or two about cycling. In short: a landscape full of soul and hosts with a lot of heart are already waiting for you.

Get on your bike and off you go

Are you looking for peace and relaxation combined with cultural enjoyment? Are you planning a multi-day cycle tour with friends? Do you love unspoilt nature and appreciate good service? Would you like to savour regional delicacies during your break? Would you like a suggested route that is suitable for the whole family? Then you've come to the right place.

The signposted network of junctions in the Warendorf district is around 900 kilometres long. It consists of smaller circular routes that connect to each other like a honeycomb network and offer many cycling tour options. To make it easier for you to choose and experience the most beautiful cycle tours on your holiday, the district of Warendorf has put together 14 tour tips between 28 and 66 kilometres in length for you. The routes are designed as circular routes and - wherever possible - take you along tarmac cycle paths. There are car parks at the starting points where you can leave your car.

Some towns also have a railway station, so you can also arrive by train. You will find a detailed map for each tour in the following brochure, which contains information on the route, junctions, kilometres covered and places of interest along the route. The tour tips are also located on the junction network so that you can easily find your way along the red and white signposting and only need to memorise the number sequence of the junctions. GPS data is also available for your navigation device.

Fancy a break? There's a small pavement café or a traditional country inn just around the corner.

So - welcome to the land of carefree holidays and pure cycling enjoyment!
