Ennigerloh is located in the centre of the district of Warendorf near Beckum and Oelde, about 20 minutes from the district capital. Münster is about 45 minutes away by car, and you can reach Münster/Osnabrück Airport (FMO) almost as quickly. Bielefeld and Hamm are both about 40 minutes away by car, and Osnabrück is about an hour's drive from Ennigerloh.
Tip: The Münsterland is a cycling region! 4,500 kilometres of cycle paths offer you almost unlimited possibilities in the city and in the countryside: you can commute to work comfortably by bike and go on great tours with friends and family.
Around 12,000 of the town's 21,000 inhabitants live in the centrally located and eponymous main town of Ennigerloh with its pretty historic town centre. To the west, north and east, barely ten minutes by car from the centre, are the three districts of Enniger, Westkirchen and Ostenfelde. Each of them is home to around 3000 people.
Even if rental and purchase prices follow the general real estate trend overall, there are still numerous niches to be discovered in Münsterland when building, buying or renting. In the rural areas of Münsterland, the average rental price per square metre is between five and seven euros, and the average purchase price for flats and houses per square metre is 2100 euros.

In Ennigerloh and the region, young people are really making theatre: cultural institutions from Ahlen, Oelde, Beckum, Warendorf and Ennigerloh have joined forces to form an amateur theatre network and launched the project "PROVINZ - Jugend macht Theater im Kreis Warendorf". Teenagers and young adults rehearse in the participating institutions and stage their plays once a year as part of a festival.
You can buy groceries in supermarkets and bakeries in all districts, and on Thursdays at the weekly market in Ennigerloh. In the city centre you can shop in shoe shops, a bookshop and furniture shops. As in many towns in the Münsterland region, Ennigerloh has fashion shops with well-known brands as well as some boutiques and concept stores. And of course you will find specialist bicycle shops almost everywhere, offering lots of accessories and new bicycles or e-bikes.

The cement industry has a long tradition in Ennigerloh. Today it is only one pillar of the diverse business location: metal and mechanical engineering companies, logistics providers, plastics processors, woodworking companies and other businesses have settled in the town. Large companies in the town include the pharmaceutical company Rottendorf Pharma and Phoenix Budosport, a wholesaler of martial arts articles. In addition, some manufacturers of upholstered furniture are based in Ennigerloh, for example the Johannhörster upholstery company and the Poggel upholstered furniture workshops.
