In Legden, THE GOOD LIFE awaits you in the countryside with many recreational opportunities and good transport connections. The 7300 inhabitants live in the two districts of Legden and Asbeck and some rural farming communities.
Legden is located in the western Münsterland region between Ahaus and Coesfeld. From here, you don't have far to go to the Netherlands; for example, the popular shopping city of Enschede is only about 35 minutes away by car. Legden is also very well connected in other respects: Münster and Münster/Osnabrück Airport (FMO) can be reached in about 50 minutes, Osnabrück in just over an hour. The district town of Borken is half an hour's drive away. Another plus for commuters: Legden railway station is on the Dortmund-Enschede regional train line.
You can reach the North Sea coast in just over two hours via the A31 motorway, to which Legden has its own junction.

The municipality of Legden consists of the main town and the second district of Asbeck, which is located about ten minutes north-east of the centre. About 1300 of the total of 7300 inhabitants live in Asbeck. Between and around the two villages are eight farming communities, which also belong to the municipality.
In the centre of Legden there are some shopping facilities and restaurants. Behind the listed church of St. Brigida is the dahlia garden, where about 160 varieties of the colourful flower bloom.
Even if rental and purchase prices overall follow the general real estate trend, there are still numerous niches to be discovered in Münsterland when building, buying or renting. In rural Münsterland the average rent per square metre is between five and seven euros, the average purchase price for flats and houses per square metre is 2100 euros.

They can then go on to the secondary school in Legden-Rosendahl to complete their lower secondary or intermediate school leaving certificate. Grammar schools and other secondary schools are located in the neighbouring town of Ahaus and in nearby Coesfeld.
