CarCaddy was invented by Josef Vorndieck, owner of the car repair shop Vorndieck Dienstleistungs GmbH. Inspired by his long professional experience and the challenges in his business, he came up with the idea for his innovation. In 2013, the vision matured into practical implementation.
Vorndieck's goal: to revive the towing axle known as a trailing axle and at the same time create an innovative product with application advantages. He has succeeded in this with CarCaddy. Similar to a bicycle carrier, the towing device is simply transported on the trailer coupling of the towing vehicle.
The advantage: CarCaddy is not only particularly stable, safe and yet light, the "tow truck" needs neither a trailer nor a truck driver's licence. This also quickly convinced Germany's largest automobile club. In the meantime, the product has become an entire company: CCP Car Caddy Production GmbH.
