The delightful combination of language, music and attitude. An impressively orchestrated dialogue between literature and sound, seriousness and cheerfulness, contemporary criticism and timeless art, political beauty. Most people remember Erich Kästner as the author of endearing children's books. But his books were the first to go up in flames on the Nazi funeral pyres on the streets of a burgeoning Nazi Germany. Martin Hannemann, himself an experienced musician and eloquent storyteller, dared to take a look at the "other Kästner", the politically alert, the sarcastic, the illusionless chronicler of the interwar period. Of course, it is also funny and quite amusing, because Kästner always remains a humanist, his love for people defies all despair. Hannemann does not simply read - he interprets, expands and accentuates, allows pauses to have an effect, builds bridges to our present day. The musical concept makes it a special event with the jazz trio around drummer Lothar Wantia, Niclas Floer on piano and Joffrey Bondzio on double bass. The trio formed far more than a mere acoustic backdrop. Rather, the musicians enter into a subtle dialogue with the texts, searching for timbres that reflect atmospheres, make comments or expand emotional spaces. There is a suitable tone for every text passage: a sparkling drive for a smug Kästner verse, a dissonant surface as an echo to critical lines, a swinging groove for humorous passages. Kästner's texts are not illustrated here, but also placed in new contexts through musical improvisation. The music not only creates atmosphere, but also opens up spaces for interpretation, allowing Kästner's words to appear in a different, even contemporary light, sometimes with a different sharpness.

The exhibition presents abstract, realistic and landscape works that visualise emotional moods and experiences of nature using acrylic paint, form and pastels. Between inner movement and outer landscape, pictures are created that leave room for personal associations and contemplation. Compositions of Diversity shows works that move between abstraction, realism and landscape. Colours, shapes and pastel shades enter into a dialogue of emotion, nature and perception. Each picture is an expression of an inner moment and at the same time an invitation to discover one's own moods and memories in it. The variety of techniques and motifs combine to create a harmonious overall composition.

An afternoon for families looking for a nursery place: the DRK ‘Buskamp’ nursery is opening its doors to offer an insight into the premises, the educational approach and everyday life at the nursery. Divided into four groups, children aged between six months and six years have plenty of space to explore, learn and grow. As a recognised ‘active nursery’, the centre provides a wide range of opportunities for physical activity every day. There will also be a chance to meet the staff in person and ask any questions you may have about childcare.
