A short trip around the world

A cycle tour that feels like travelling around the world. On the 56-kilometre cycle tour, you will encounter Münsterland tradition and hospitality. You take a look at the most exotic inhabitants of the region in the Zwillbrocker Venn and immerse yourself in the Dutch joie de vivre around the market square in Winterswijk. The gentle landscape of the 'Green Border', characterised by the Berkel river and an almost endless horizon, forms the backdrop for your cycle tour.

Your cycle tour starts in the beautiful town centre of Stadtlohn. A short walk through the alleyways of the town and to Losbergpark is definitely worthwhile. You cycle to Vreden with practically no inclines. The Kult with its exhibitions is always worth a visit. The banks of the Berkelsee are a wonderful place to relax before the next few kilometres take you into the Zwillbrocker Venn.

The pink flamingos cavorting amidst the green landscape are certainly one of the most unusual sights in Münsterland. After a few more turns of the pedals, you cross the green border into the Netherlands. Wonderful cycle paths lead you through the open countryside until you finally reach Winterswijk . The lively town shows its best side, especially around the market square.

Let yourself be enchanted once again by the tranquillity of the rural border region. Beautiful fields and meadows await you on the way to Stadtlohn. After your cycle tour, you can reward yourself with a tasty drink or meal in a café or restaurant.
