Haus Rüschhaus on the 100 Castles Route offers the perfect transition from urban Münster to the rural surroundings. The Münsterland cycle path network passes directly by the historic building and offers countless opportunities for small and large cycling tours. A classic for cyclists is a bike tour to Hülshoff Castle near Havixbeck. The city centre of Münster is also only a few kilometres away and can be easily reached by bike. A very beautiful destination for nature lovers are the picturesque Rieselfelder fields in the north of Münster.
4,500 km of signposted cycle paths criss-cross the Münsterland. Haus Rüschhaus can also be reached via the practical junction system. With the junction system, you can easily put together your favourite route with a few numbers.
From Münster it is only a few kilometres by bike along the 100 Castles Route to Haus Rüschhaus. Just follow the 100 Castles Route to Havixbeck and experience Haus Vögeding, Hülshoff Castle and Haus Havixbeck on the way.
From Havixbeck there is an hourly regional train back to Münster - journey time approx. 17 minutes.
You cycle along a flat stretch of road in the direction of Havixbeck. The famous poet Annette von Droste-Hülshoff used to walk along these paths. You will reach her birthplace, the picturesque Hülshoff Castle, after just a few kilometres. Hülshoff Castle is already the turning point of the cycle tour. Back to Münster, the cycle path leads through the district of Roxel and then on to the Allwetterzoo. The city centre of Münster now lies ahead of you. The magnificent Münster Castle is the next impressive building on the route. Take a leisurely detour into the old town and visit the Prinzipalmarkt and the cathedral. Saddle up again and it's not far to Haus Rüschhaus.
