Experiences at Haus Visbeck

On 7 November 2026, the area around Haus Visbeck in Dülmen will be transformed into an exciting venue for sled dog racing. The 5th Visbeck Sled Dog Race will take place between Seppenrade and Dülmen, right next to the B 474.

The Münsterland Sled Dog Sports Club (Schlittenhundesportverein Münsterland e. V.) is delighted to welcome around 140 participants this weekend, who will be competing with their four-legged friends in various categories. It won’t just be huskies on the course, but also breeds such as hounds, Australian Shepherds, Malinois and many more.

Please note that due to the weather, there may be last-minute changes to the programme. To make the most of the spectacle , we recommend arriving early and checking the exact times in advance at events.raceresult.com.

There will be a short break in the racing at lunchtime. Whilst adult visitors can use this time to browse the stalls selling dog accessories, younger visitors can give free rein to their creativity with some craft activities.

Once the last competitor has crossed the finish line – expected to be around 3 pm – young guests aged 12 and under will have the chance to take part in a children’s race.

The event will then conclude on Sunday at around 4 pm with the prize-giving ceremony.

Admission is free.

If you wish to bring your dog, please note that guest dogs are not permitted in the musher camp or on the race track. Otherwise, dogs must be kept on a short lead throughout the entire event site and must have valid vaccination certificates. This is the only way to ensure the safety of all dogs.
