Picnic area Feldmarksee Sassenberg

At the heart of the Feldmark recreational area near Sassenberg in the district of Warendorf lies Feldmark Lake, which covers an area of around 13 hectares. With its bird sanctuary island, an idyllic sandy beach, extensive sunbathing lawns and a café, it is an attractive local leisure destination , particularly on sunny days, and offers more than one opportunity for a picnic:

There is a lovely picnic area by the lake with benches and two tables seating 6 to 8 people. There are also two grassy areas in this part of the lake where you can have a picnic. The picnic area is situated on the eastern shore of Feldmarksee, opposite the water sports centre and the lido. On the southern side of the lake, you can treat yourself to a delicious ice cream at the ice cream parlour or enjoy food and drinks at the SonVida restaurant. Both also have seating on the newly built boat, which is worth a visit in its own right. A barbecue hut with several barbecue areas is also available for you to spend balmy evenings or sunny spring afternoons in comfort.
