On the trail of prince bishops and asparagus queens

This day tour starts in the centre of Sassenberg and leads through the idyllic parkland of the Münsterland region. The route runs between the former residence of the prince-bishops of Münster, Sassenberg, and the charming asparagus village of Füchtorf. There is plenty to discover along the route: vast asparagus fields, impressive architectural monuments, nature reserves and recreational areas as well as magnificent castles and manor houses.

A particular highlight is the Feldmarksee lake, where an inviting lido invites you to relax. The 28-kilometre route offers a variety of landscapes and runs along well-maintained farm tracks and quiet lanes. The absolute highlight of the tour is the impressive Harkotten double castle complex - a stopover here is highly recommended!
