Münsterland Winter Punch - Recipe

There are scents that immediately put you in a cosy winter mood or awaken memories of very personal taste experiences from the Advent season. Cinnamon, orange and apple are definitely among them. These flavours are components of the delicious "Münsterländer Winterpunsch". The fine distillery Sasse from Schöppingen, in whose treasure chambers the famous lager matures, has developed this special drink together with Münsterland e.V.. For wonderful winter evenings, connoisseurs and gourmets, passionate romantics and pragmatic food lovers can mix the Münsterland Winter Punch themselves. Incidentally, the recipe has been awarded the Münsterland seal, a guarantee for high-quality food from the region.

The ingredients

  • 40 ml Sasse Naturlikör Sechser (organic)
  • 20 ml freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 20 ml cinnamon syrup (easy to make yourself: boil 250 g sugar in 250 ml water until it thickens. Then stir in a tablespoon of cinnamon or two cinnamon sticks, continue to boil briefly and pour into a bottle).
    Then fill up with naturally cloudy apple juice. Serve warm or on ice.
