Cycling in Velen

Velen is known as a stage stop on the 100-Schlösser-Route. However, the town in the western Münsterland offers many other cycle routes and circuits. On a cycle tour through the Hohe Mark, visit the town of Borken with its beautiful Burg Gemen, discover the wild-horses near Dülmen, treat yourself to a day at Wildpark Frankenhof or take a trip to the Netherlands. The possibilities are literally "limitless". Most of the cycle paths are completely free of climbs.

The Flamingo Route takes you to the greatest treasures of nature in the German-Dutch border region between Enschede (NL) and Borken (DE). A particular highlight is certainly the northernmost flamingo breeding colony in the Zwillbrocker Venn.
