Zweieins – Stadtmarketing Velen & Ramsdorf e. V. invites you to the next “BurgGenuss” event on Burgplatz in Ramsdorf!

From 5.00 pm to 8.00 pm, you can once again look forward to some delicious treats. Seating and standing areas will also be provided! What could be better than having a chat, meeting people, catching up, and enjoying a drink and a bite to eat? Everyone is invited to take a seat on Burgplatz.

Following three successful editions, VeRa LIVE is back for its fourth instalment – bigger, more diverse and livelier than ever. This year, visitors can look forward to 19 bands across 14 venues and six hours of live music.  To get you in the mood, there’s a special warm-up event: a sing-along from 6.00 pm at St Andreas’ Church – sing along and kick off the evening with some music.

One ticket grants access to all venues and the shuttle bus. The performances finish at 1.00 am.

Charles Dickens’ Christmas ghost story was first published in December 1843 and has since become an Advent tradition far beyond the borders of Great Britain.

The story of Ebenezer Scrooge has been adapted many times – yet Christoph Tiemann and his ensemble of experienced actors have transformed the original, in its German translation, into a multimedia live radio play.

It is a delight to watch and listen as the five actors slip into 20 different roles and play off one another. The musical accompaniment then really gets you in the mood for Christmas.

The story is set in a large henhouse: the hens Gertrud, Linda, Juanita, Hether, the twins Babsi and Susi, and the cockerel Serge simply cannot get to sleep. Outside, people are cleaning and scrubbing; the farmers are decorating the farmyard and singing Christmas carols – and the glow of the fairy lights reaches right into the furthest corner of the coop.

Without further ado, the chickens decide to celebrate Christmas themselves. They decorate their coop, make presents, look after the newly hatched chicks, argue and make up – just like in real life.

When everything is finally ready, there’s a sudden knock at the door: a shivering, freezing goose is asking for shelter. “How rude – you don’t just knock on Christmas!” Or perhaps you do?

In a wonderfully heart-warming way, the chickens find a solution and show what Christmas is really all about.

The combination of witty dialogue, classical music and lovingly designed characters invites young and old alike to rediscover the true meaning of Christmas in a light-hearted and touching way.
