Warendorf Stallion Parades

The Warendorf Stallion Parades traditionally take place in late summer each year on the grounds of the State Stud. More than 100 stallions from the State Stud present themselves in around 20 shows. This traditional event offers a varied programme with different facets. Here you can marvel at the stallions at a fast gallop or with maximum concentration in demanding dressage exercises. The shows are performed both by carriage and under saddle or in hand, demonstrating the diversity of equestrian sport in a programme lasting more than three hours.

Two days of tradition in Warendorf

The Warendorf Stallion Parades take place every year in late summer. The event has long been recognised beyond Germany's borders. One weekend in September, numerous people people from all over the world flock to the horse capital of Warendorf to admire the noble stallions on the parade ground of the state stud. This year they will take place on 19 and 20 September 2026.

The musical accompaniment of the fascinating and spectacular shows will create a unique atmosphere and makes the Warendorf Stallion Parades a real highlight in the highlight in the Münsterland. Be there too and enjoy Warendorf specialities such as levades and capers. Let yourself be enchanted by the high school of equestrian sport. The stallion parades in a special light

An event was added to the stallion parades for the first time in 2024. Due to its great success, the event will also be held in 2025! With the Parade by Night, the NRW State Stud is now offering a new format to the classic stallion parades in the early afternoon. The Parade by Night will take place one week after the classic stallion parades, on 26 September 2026 at 7 pm on the Paradeplatz. As dusk falls, the parade will shine in a special light. The illuminated historic stables and the parade square surrounded by stalls provide a particularly atmospheric backdrop for the traditional show at Warendorf State Stud.
