Liesborn Abbey Museum on Castles and Palaces Day

The Museum Abtei Liesborn of the Warendorf district collects and preserves works on the art and cultural history of the region. Located in the baroque abbey residence, testimonies to the 1200-year history of the abbey form a focal point of the museum's collection in Wadersloh. These include the panel paintings of the Master of Liesborn, which enjoy world fame. Special mention should also be made of the unique crucifix collection, which includes works by renowned artists such as Marc Chagall, Joseph Beuys, Salvador Dalí and Jonathan Meese. Changing special exhibitions, a varied programme of events and a personal atmosphere appeal to culture enthusiasts of all ages and invite them to return.
