Rhede

Welcome to Rhede!

The town of Rhede offers you THE GOOD LIFE with urban leisure and cultural activities in the town centre and nature experiences in the green surroundings. The approximately 19,000 inhabitants live in five districts: the large town centre and four rural districts.

Between Westphalia, the Lower Rhine and the Netherlands

Rhede is located on the western edge of the Münsterland region, not far from the Dutch border. Münster is a good hour's drive away, and the Dutch cities of Arnhem and Enschede are just as easy to reach. Münster/Osnabrück Airport (FMO) and Weeze Airport on the Lower Rhine are also just an hour away. The district town of Borken is 20 minutes away by car.

Tip: The Münsterland is a cycling region! 4,500 kilometres of cycle paths offer you almost unlimited possibilities in the city and in the countryside: you can commute to work comfortably by bike and go on great tours with friends and family.

Living in Rhede

Most of the approximately 19,000 inhabitants live in the core town of Rhede, which is surrounded by four other districts. The largest is Vardingholt, which lies to the north. Here about 3000 people live in a small village centre and on many farmsteads scattered in the Münsterland park landscape. The district of Krechting , with about 1900 inhabitants, directly adjoins the core town to the south. To the southwest and southeast are the two scattered settlements of Büngern (260 inhabitants) and Krommert (700 inhabitants).

Even if rental and purchase prices overall follow the general real estate trend, there are still numerous niches to be discovered in Münsterland when building, buying or renting. In the rural areas of Münsterland, the average rent per square metre is between five and seven euros, and the average purchase price per square metre for flats and houses is 2,100 euros.

In addition, you can view information on the development of turnover and prices on the property market in the district of Borken in the property market report .
