The real treat in Münsterland
Sassenberg

Welcome to Sassenberg!

In Sassenberg, THE GOOD LIFE awaits you in the countryside in the immediate vicinity of the district town of Warendorf. The 14,000 inhabitants live in the core town, a smaller district and two rural villages.

East of Münster near Warendorf

Sassenberg is about 45 minutes by car east of Münster in the district of Warendorf. The small town borders directly on Warendorf, and it only takes about ten minutes to drive to the centre of the district town. Osnabrück and Bielefeld are both about 40 minutes away by car, and Münster/Osnabrück Airport (FMO) is a good half-hour drive away.

By the way, you don't have far to go from Sassenberg to the sea. You can reach the North Sea coastin just two hours via the nearby motorways.

Tip: Münsterland is a cycling region! 4,500 kilometres of cycle paths offer you almost unlimited possibilities in the city and in the countryside: you can commute to work comfortably by bike and go on great tours with friends and family.

Living in Sassenberg

In addition to the core town, Sassenberg also includes the district of Füchtorf, which is about ten minutes' drive to the north, and the villages of Dackmar and Gröblingen. The latter two consist of individual houses and farms in the Münsterland park landscape and do not have their own village centre.

Sassenberg is known supra-regionally mainly for its smaller district: Füchtorf bears the title "savings village" because of its many specialised farms and offers rural flair with a farmers' café and an annual farmers' market.

Even if rental and purchase prices overall follow the general real estate trend, there are still numerous niches to be discovered in Münsterland when building, buying or renting. In the rural area of Münsterland, the average rental price per square metre is between five and seven euros, the average purchase price for flats and houses per square metre is 2100 euros.
