Small castle tour

From the start in Drensteinfurt, you roll relaxed through the open countryside to the south. You soon reach Haus Venne with its symmetrical gardens and idyllic avenue of lime trees - an atmospheric start. The route continues through the green expanses to the picturesque Westerwinkel Castle near Ascheberg, a baroque four-winged building from the 17th century surrounded by a spacious park.

The route then takes you through the Ichterloh nature reserve and on to Ascheberg or Davensberg, where you can take a refreshing break. You then reach Haus Borg, an impressive complex on three islands with centuries of history. Nearby, Haus Bisping is a charming half-timbered ensemble in the middle of the parkland. At the end of the tour, you cycle along quiet paths to the moated castle Haus Steinfurt with its circular moat and soothing silence. You return to Drensteinfurt relaxed and full of new impressions.
