Go on a discovery tour through the wildlife kingdom in the Dülmen Wildlife Park. Only a few minutes' walk from the town centre, the 250-hectare park invites you to go for a walk, take a stroll or just relax. Here, beech, oak and mixed forests alternate again and again. Two large ponds and many smaller pools complete the scenic picture. You can explore the area on four smaller circular paths and a large circular hiking trail.
The park is one of the most beautiful parks in Münsterland and is home to many native animals. These include fallow deer, sheep and moorland sheep, which live there completely free. Although most of the animals are used to people, you should not get too close to them in your own interest and that of the animals.
The history of the game park goes back to the 19th century, more precisely to the 1860s. In the eastern part, there are still the remains of an English park that was commissioned by the Duke of Croÿ, who still owns the game park today.
Admission to the wildlife park is free of charge. The park is open all day and all year round. Three free parking spaces are available for visitors:
