Open Data for cultural events. Open. Share. Be visible.

Open data for cultural events is the topic of the Kulturakademie Münsterland 2025

How can cultural events be made more visible? Open data is the key! The Münsterland data portal makes it possible to enter events free of charge and thus be present on numerous platforms and websites - without additional effort and with great benefits.

This workshop provides an introduction to the use of open data for publicising cultural events. Participants will learn how the Münsterland data portal works and what advantages it offers organisers and cultural institutions. In addition to a theoretical overview, there will be practical instructions on how to enter data: step by step, participants will be shown how to enter events and keep them up to date.

Participants will also learn how they can use the entered event data for their own media - be it in event calendars on their own website or via digital information boards with Screen.IT. In this way, cultural events can be made easily accessible with a QR code and effectively advertised even without your own website.

Important note: If possible, please bring a laptop, alternatively a tablet can also be used.

The event is a cooperation with the Bennohaus and the district culture management of the City of Münster's Department of Culture.

Thursday, 3 July 2025 | 2 pm to 6 pm

Location: Bennohaus, Bennostraße 5, Münster
