Due to an accident of Christoph Pepe Auer we unfortunately have to cancel the concert on October 23rd in the Kolvenburg. Tickets that have already been purchased can be returned to the places where they were purchased.
Christoph Pepe Auer is considered one of the most interesting Austrian jazz musicians. The clarinettist, who has played in the Jazz Big Band Graz, the Vienna Art Orchestra or in a duo with Manu Delago, offers much more than just pure "jazz".
For more than 15 years, Auer has been on a journey to ever new sounds and sound combinations. He moves between jazz, pop and electronic music. In his pieces, he uses everything he comes across, finds, invents and tries out. Auer's latest instrument is a contrabass clarinet, which, alongside his range of woodwind instruments, provides a warm, deep color on stage. Each song in itself represents a small cosmos of sound, because Auer and his quartet (Clemens Sainitzer on cello, Mike Tiefenbacher on piano and Christian Grobauer on drums) and their diverse range of instruments are constantly exploring new musical shores.

THE VENUE: KOLVENBURG IN BILLERBECK
In the middle of the picturesque Billerbeck Berkel floodplain with its deep meadows, tree-lined ponds and unspoilt reed landscapes lies a building that is unique in terms of both architecture and function: the district of Coesfeld has transformed the Kolvenburg, a 13th century residence of the lower nobility, into a stylish forum for art and culture. It is a place of exquisite music and top-class fine art. International jazz greats also like to come to the Kolvenburg concert hall. This is because they feel the direct contact with the audience, which in turn appreciates the proximity to the performers.
