Münsterland Festival Quartet
It's almost a tradition at the Münsterland Festival: the Münsterland Festival Quartet, where musicians from the host country meet musicians from Münsterland. In 2023, the Finnish duo Hana will meet the Münster art collective EAT THE FROG. They will perform together in the Kolvenburg.
Hana are the Finnish musicians Karin Mäkiranta and Selma Savolainen. Together they create magical synthesizer soundscapes and soulful, melancholic vocal melodies. They meet the EAT THE FROG collective, consisting of multi-instrumentalists Stefan Schneider and Tobias Link, who are currently focusing on atmospheric, improvised music.
The result is a Münsterland Festival quartet that focuses on improvisation.
In cooperation with the cultural department of the district of Coesfeld.

THE VENUE: THE KOLVENBURG
In the middle of Billerbeck's picturesque Berkel floodplain lies a building that is unique in terms of both architecture and function: the district of Coesfeld has transformed the Kolvenburg, a 13th century residence of the lower nobility, into a stylish forum for art and culture. It is a place of exquisite music and top-class fine art.
