MARKUS SCHIRMER AND WOLFRAM BERGER ON OCTOBER 10 AT THE BAGNO CONCERT GALLERY

Wolfram Berger and Markus Schirmer present a cheeky, ironic, multi-faceted, wine-loving and sharp-tongued musical and literary journey from the Heurigen in the suburbs to the Schanigärten, the coffee houses and the concert halls of the former imperial city. A Viennese melange in a class of its own!
Born in Graz, Markus Schirmer has taken the most important concert stages and festivals by storm: Vienna Musikverein, Philharmonie München and Suntory Hall in Tokyo.

Schirmer has worked with many important orchestras and conductors, including the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra London, Sir Neville Marriner and Lord Yehudi Menuhin. He loves Schubert above all else, but is also enthusiastic about rarities such as Britten's ironic piano concerto.

Wolfram Berger will be performing with him that evening. Berger's acting training in Graz was followed by a career as an actor on important German-speaking stages in Basel, Zurich, Stuttgart and Bochum. At the same time, Berger appeared in cinema and TV films. Today he is a freelance cabaret artist, singer, entertainer, actor, director and producer of unusual theater evenings.
