IRO HAARLA ELECTRIC ENSEMBLE ON NOVEMBER 5 AT VISCHERING CASTLE

Colorful soundscapes
Pianist, harpist, composer and bandleader - Iro Haarla is one of the most remarkable Finnish jazz artists. Her roots lie in classical music, but after graduating from the renowned Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Haarla found her way to jazz and established herself in the strong Finnish scene. Her long career is based on her unmistakable creative power, with which she creates modern Scandinavian jazz.
For the final concert of the Münsterland Festival, Haarla will once again take the audience into new musical territory: her electric ensemble, consisting of bassist Ulf Krokfors, drummer Aniida Vesala, tenor saxophonist Sami Sippola and electric guitarist Jukka Orma, weaves an extremely colorful world of sound around Haarla's melodies. Together they create an exhilarating world of Afro-American rhythms, acoustic instruments, synthesizer and electric guitar. The Iro Haarla Electric Ensemble will provide the audience at Burg Vischering with an unforgettable finale to the Münsterland Festival.
Made possible by Sparkasse Westmünsterland. In cooperation with the cultural department of the district of Coesfeld.
