THE HIGHLY MUSICAL ALL-ROUNDER LUKAS LAUERMANN
Lukas Lauermann is a versatile and highly musical "multi-talent". The Viennese cellist has already worked with various artists as a live and studio musician, arranger and composer. At the Münsterland Festival, he will not only be performing at the opening with the Donauwellenreitern, but also as a soloist at Haus Visbeck.
Lukas Lauermann has the gift of feeling at home in different musical styles and giving them expression. His playing is melodic at its core and characterized by a pinch of pop, but can nevertheless veer off in an experimental direction in the next moment. In addition to the cello, tuning forks, synthesizers and piano can also be heard. Sometimes these sounds are altered electronically, sometimes the cello is in the foreground and becomes a sounding body for other sound sources. The compositions on the solo album "I N" no longer tell stories, but combine to create a sound experience.
VENUE: HAUS VISBECK IN DÜLMEN
The Marienkapelle, Haus Visbeck, was originally a wooden chapel in an octagonal shape and was first mentioned in a document in 1572. It was located outside the former waters that surrounded the fortified building "Haus Visbeck", which was situated on two islands, to the southwest with the entrance facing the gateway. The plans for the brick chapel were probably drawn up by the Münster Baroque architect Johann Conrad Schlaun. It was built between 1747 and 1749, as evidenced by the weather vane on the bell roof rider.
On May 29, 1747, the chapel was granted the privilege to celebrate mass by Pope Benedict XIV. Extensive renovation and restoration work on the interior of the chapel was completed in summer 2021. Today, the Marienkapelle Visbeck is used for devotions, processions and celebrations.
