Culinary, musical voyage of discovery through the Finnish forests

Finnish celebrity chef Jyrki Tsutsunen has already cooked in the best restaurants in Helsinki, was head chef at the Finnish Consulate General in St. Petersburg and is constantly creating new recipes, menus and events. With his "Forest Spirit" project, he is coming to the Capuchin Monastery in Münster with a 7-course menu and not only has ingredients from the Finnish forest in his luggage for this culinary experience, but also the right musical accompaniment with drummer and percussionist Tatu Rönkkö and DJ Bunuel.
He will be assisted by the chefs from the Capuchin monastery: Thomas Ahlers and Marcus Gäde. Both trained in the Münsterland region. After working in Germany and abroad, they now cook fresh and sustainably in the kitchen of the Capuchin Monastery in Münster. Together with Jyrki Tsutsunen, they will not only be using ingredients from the Finnish forest, but also freshly harvested produce from the Capuchin garden. The delicacies will be served with original forest sounds from the DJ booth.

Made possible by Visit Finland. In cooperation with the Capuchin Monastery in Münster.

The Capuchin monastery has been located in the heart of Münster since 1857 and is partly run as a guest house to preserve its cultural heritage. In addition to overnight accommodation and catering for house guests, conferences and events of all kinds take place here. Sustainability and regionality are important. Seasonal fruit and vegetables for the kitchen come from the monastery's own garden. A gem in the middle of the city.
