IIRO RANTALA AT RAESFELD CASTLE ON NOVEMBER 1

Exclusive additional concert!
All good things come in threes: Finnish star pianist Iiro Rantala has already taken to the stage at Kulturgut Haus Nottbeck, the concert with the Münster Symphony Orchestra on November 2 in Draiflessen is sold out - now, due to popular demand, another concert is on the program at Münsterland Festival part 12: on November 1 (Wednesday/All Saints' Day), Iiro Rantala will give an exclusive matinee concert at Raesfeld Castle - on a small scale, with only 50 tickets going on sale.
The Finn moves playfully between genres and does what he does best: his own thing. It is this musical horizon that makes Rantala stand out. His jazz easily incorporates classical, pop or rock music, and the Finn makes use of his astonishing technique and exuberant imagination. With his music, the pianist convinces even those who previously thought they didn't like jazz. It is not for nothing that the magazine Jazz thing & Blue Rhythm calls him a "natural phenomenon on the keys".

THE VENUE: RAESFELD CASTLE

The history of Raesfeld Castle dates back to the 12th century. At the end of the 16th century, it came into the possession of the von Velen family, who extended it in the Renaissance style. Of the former four castle wings, the west wing with its striking stepped tower and the adjoining old building to the north with its rebuilt round tower still stand today. Today, the castle serves as a venue for events and as the headquarters of the Chamber of Crafts' further training facility.
