MÜNSTERLAND FESTIVAL PART 10: ALEX HENDRIKSEN AND FABIAN GISLER
Alex Hendriksen's sensitive saxophone playing and Fabian Gisler's vibrant bass playing came into their own as a small duo at the Münsterland Festival part 10. Their music was impressive, their performance full of simple elegance.
The careers of musicians Alex Hendriksen and Fabian Gisler are characterized by musical diversity, from big band to pop to film music. Hendriksen studied at the Berklee College of Music (USA), Gisler at the Bern Swizz Jazz School. What the Swiss musicians have in common is that they use the language of music to create moments of contemplation, internalization and calm. The stories they have to tell with their melodious interpretations of selected, sometimes traditional pieces and their own compositions are impressive and moving.
Their pieces are sometimes slow and sometimes fast-paced, interspersed with musical variations and harmonious melodies. The jazz musicians created an intimate yet relaxed atmosphere for their audience that evening, bringing their stories to life.

RELíGIO - WEST FALESIAN MUSEUM FOR RELIGIOUS CULTURE IN TELGTE
Right next to the pilgrimage church in Telgte is the RELíGIO Museum with its old and new buildings and its exhibition on religious culture in Westphalia. The oldest part of the museum is the parish barn from 1607, where the hearth fire flickers on special occasions. Today, the barn is used as an exhibition and event venue. Bridal couples say "I do" here. Münsterland culture is cultivated in this rustic ambience, from eating ice cream cakes to readings and concerts.
