A musical journey through history
The music of Désirée Saarela & Triskel has its roots in the singer-songwriter world, but at the same time stands for a new and original way of expressing the folk music of today. The group creates an atmosphere full of heart, joy and the power of storytelling - to be felt during their performance at the Münsterland Festival in the Glockenmuseum Gescher. (Transferred from the theater and concert hall!)
The lyrics and music bear Désirée Saarela's signature, she sings the songs in her mother tongue: Finnish-Swedish. The current album "Brandliljor och Eldsjälar" (April 2021) tells the stories of various women belonging to the Swedish-speaking minority in Finland with its songs, taking a look at the 20th century, among other things. An interesting mix of storytelling and soundscapes from the Finnish-Swedish and Finnish sound world.

The Westphalian Bell Museum in Gescher is the only museum in North Rhine-Westphalia that specializes in bells. During a resounding journey through the history of bells, visitors learn surprising and unknown facts about the significance of bells in ecclesiastical and secular life. Original bells, historical documents, photos and films illustrate the uniqueness of the bell as a signaling device, musical instrument, work of art and monument and help to discover the secret of bells and their sounds. Hands-on stations invite visitors of all ages to explore, discover and try things out.
