THE VENUE: CULTURAL CENTER GBS IN GREVEN

The almost 100-year-old walls of the Greven cotton mill (GBS) are a reminder of the heyday of the textile industry, which shaped Greven well into the 20th century. Closed down in 1993, the preserved ensemble of buildings comprising the administration building, culture forge, bale store, boiler house and carding mill was gradually put back into operation as the GBS cultural center from 1998. The music school, the adult education center, a youth café and youth work have found space here.
